Mister Clarke

One of the most memorable and interesting projects I have been involved with recently, an utterly bespoke creative led design and development of a website to showcase David Clarke, master silversmith and absolutely lovely chap – Oh, he’s an artist by the way, this project really pushed my design and development skills to ensure we produced something fresh and entirely unique to reflect David’s creativity.

Fantastic typography, a plethora of amazing imagery a kooky style and demeanour all his own just launches this project into my top 10 of all time. I worked closely with David on every page adjusting, fiddling and re-organising the entire time so we could get it just right – as I hope is clearly demonstrated when you check the website out in full.

In terms of the reality of the project I made use of my WordPress Theme Framework as your starting point, continually making sure everything can be updated as and when required, but also in pushing the limit of my custom page builder – almost everything you see on this website is achieved with the page builder. The complex layouts of the projects section, to the random nature of the objects section – all controlled with thew page builder.

Oh and to top this all we also dropped in a little bit of eCommerce as well, David occasionally has some small items he can reproduce – albeit in small quantities – where you can purchase your own very little piece of David’s work. It’s been an absolute success selling out of one product within weeks of launching!
