Perspectiva

Bespoke Wordpress Development

Scholars, artists, activists and futurists Perspectiva required a new platform, in the form of a website, to publish and promote their unique essay based content effectively.

Working on collaboration both with a designer and Perspectiva themselves we developed a completely bespoke WordPress theme – the core benefit of this being the ability for Perspectiva themselves to maintain, update and most of all add new content and essays as and when needed without developer input.

We pushed what can be achieved in terms of design, and the implementation of design by adding animation to interactive elements, twisting the usual squared off feature graphics to show the different viewpoint Perspectiva offers – building upon their core brand values and messages to twist what is the usual norm.

Using subtle gradient animations to bring movement – without distraction along with the inclusion of amazing photography and video clips overlaid with beautiful typography both brings these images to life, but also makes us pause for thought.

A full frame animated navigation, again not falling into the usual tropes of obvious naming demands the user to investigate and look deeper and to discover further developing the core brand.

As with all of my projects this makes use of my WordPress Theme Framework, which was then developed onto adding those design elements which are required, but also to further develop the building blocks allowing complex pages to be designed and implemented by Perspectiva themselves, and in the year since launch many pages have been redesigned and reworked by Perspectiva.

In addition I also host this website on their behalf, keep the WordPress core and plugins maintained on a weekly basis to ensure the website is always running smoothly and without fault.
